The Camden County Police Department organized a community food distribution event as part of its Unity Policing initiative. The event aimed to support residents who are facing difficulties accessing food, especially after the freezing of SNAP benefits due to the ongoing federal government shutdown.

Food was distributed to individuals and families in need. The items handed out were donated by several local organizations and businesses, including The Campbell’s Company, Wholesome Riches, Kids4kids, Tony Diamond’s Farm Market, Mighty Writers, Rising Leaders, Kommunity Kares, CAMcare Health, Big Dogg Festival Food/Penn Florist of Pennsauken, J-Dogs of West Berlin, Troy’s Place of Pennsauken, Decadent Delights of Berlin, RG Coatings of Marlton and Sassa Bienne of Marlton.

The distribution took place outside department headquarters at the corner of Haddon Avenue and Federal Street in downtown Camden.

According to the department: “As part of the department’s ongoing Unity Policing initiative, and in light of the needs of Camden residents struggling to put food on the table with SNAP benefits frozen due to the federal government shutdown, the department distributed non-perishable food items to individuals and families in need in our community. All of the food items were generously donated by several local organizations and businesses: The Campbell’s Company, Wholesome Riches, Kids4kids, Tony Diamond’s Farm Market, Mighty Writers, Rising Leaders, Kommunity Kares and CAMcare Health, Big Dogg Festival Food/Penn Florist of Pennsauken, J-Dogs of West Berlin, Troy’s Place of Pennsauken, Decadent Delights of Berlin, RG Coatings of Marlton and Sassa Bienne of Marlton.”
