A medal ceremony was held on Wednesday by Commissioner Jennifer Fleisher and the Camden County Office of Veterans Affairs to honor seven veterans from Camden County. The event recognized their service and sacrifices.

“These remarkable individuals have displayed incredible courage and selflessness by serving their country,” stated Commissioner Jennifer Fleisher. She added, “These medal ceremonies are just a small way that we can show our appreciation to our veterans who time and again during their service have showed service over self.”

The honorees were Edward M. Graham from Gloucester Township, who served in the Army; Gregory A. Holmes from Cherry Hill, a USMC veteran; Kenneth W. Humes from Lindenwold, also an Army veteran; Philip B. Owens from Gloucester Township, who served in the Navy; Floyd D. Ruffin from Cherry Hill, another USMC veteran; Emanual V. Simmonds from Pennsauken, an Army veteran; and Joseph H. Wise, Jr., from Waterford Township, also a USMC veteran.
