Camden County College has opened registration for its New Jersey Film Academy (NJFA) fall semester programs, aiming to equip students with the skills needed for entry-level positions in the film, television, and digital media industries.

The NJFA offers certification courses tailored to industry requirements. All participants start with “Script to Screen: Introduction to the Entertainment Industry,” a foundational course that covers all stages of production from development to distribution. The course includes hands-on learning at the Cougar Esports Arena located in the William G. Rohrer Center in Cherry Hill.

For Fall 2025, the required introductory course runs from October 20 to December 8, meeting Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. After completing this prerequisite, students can choose specialized tracks such as Production Accounting, Introduction to Production Office, Costuming, Hair & Makeup, and Location Management.

Graduates of NJFA’s certification programs are automatically added to njproductionguide.org, which serves as a major database for New Jersey industry professionals. The program staff also provide support through internships and employer connections across digital media and esports sectors.

“The NJFA maintains relationships with studios and vendors across New Jersey, positioning our graduates for success in the state’s expanding entertainment industry,” said Daniel Colaianni, program coordinator.

Additional features of the program include an industry lecture series led by professionals and small class sizes that offer personalized instruction.

Courses take place in person at Camden County College’s William G. Rohrer Center in Cherry Hill. Each class meets twice weekly over eight weeks for three-hour sessions. Registration details can be found on Camden County College’s website or by calling (856) 374-4955.

The New Jersey Film Academy operates within a network of colleges throughout the state offering similar programs focused on preparing students for careers in entertainment. More information is available at njfilmacademy.org.
