Several roadwork projects are set to commence across Camden County from July 21 to July 25. Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works, advised motorists to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time. “Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Dyer. He also urged drivers to slow down and stay alert in construction areas.

In Audubon, West Nicholson Road will be closed between Payson Court and Central Avenue from July 21 to July 24. In Camden, Haddon Avenue will experience lane shifts between Federal and Market streets during the same week. PSE&G will conduct work on Haddon Avenue, River Avenue, Federal Street, and Mt. Ephraim Avenue at various times throughout the week.

Cherry Hill’s Kresson Road will see a full closure on July 21 between Bunker Hill and Heartwood drives due to PSE&G work. Berlin-Clementon Road in Clementon will be closed between White Horse and Higgins avenues from July 21 to July 25.

Gibbsboro’s United States Avenue will be closed from Lakeview Drive South to Foster Avenue during the same period. Gloucester Township’s Blenheim-Erial Road will have a partial southbound closure at Church Street.

In Haddonfield, New Jersey American Water will close North Haddon Avenue between Hopkins and Wayne avenues for the week. Voorhees’ South Burnt Mill Road and White Horse Road will undergo closures by South Jersey Gas from July 21 to July 24.

The Camden County Department of Public Works oversees over 1,200 miles of roadway maintenance along with bridges and dams in the area. They focus on enhancing safety through construction projects, road maintenance, pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting, and storm drainage upkeep.
