Senate Republican Leader Anthony M. Bucco has been recognized as Legislator of the Year by the New Jersey Conference of Mayors. The award was presented during their 60th Annual Spring Conference.

Senator Bucco expressed his gratitude for the honor, stating, “I’m incredibly honored to be named Legislator of the Year by the New Jersey Conference of Mayors. Our mayors are on the front lines of government, working every day to improve the lives of fellow New Jerseyans and this award is a reflection of the strong partnerships that we’ve built across all levels of government to deliver real, meaningful results to residents of the Garden State.”

Mayor Jason F. Cilento, President of the New Jersey Conference of Mayors, also praised Senator Bucco’s recognition: “I’d like to thank Senate Republican Leader Bucco for joining us at the 60th Annual New Jersey Conference of Mayors Spring Conference and for taking the time to swear me in as president of the organization for the 2025-2026 term. I congratulate him on his well-deserved recognition as Legislator of the Year, and I look forward to continuing our work with his office to bring about positive change throughout the State of New Jersey.”

During the conference, Senator Bucco had another role in administering the oath of office to Mayor Jason Cilento as he assumed his position as President.
