Senate Republican Leader Anthony M. Bucco has expressed strong criticism of the budget process led by Trenton Democrats. In a recent statement, he described the process as lacking transparency and accountability.

“The way Trenton Democrats are running our state budget process is not just shameful, it’s the complete opposite of what good government looks like,” Sen. Bucco stated. He emphasized that the rushed and opaque nature of the process contributes to New Jersey’s fiscal issues.

Bucco accused the Democrats of engaging in last-minute deals and political favors conducted without public scrutiny. “There’s no accountability, no planning, and absolutely no transparency, just last-minute deals and political favors pushed through in the dead of night when no one is looking,” he added.

He concluded by warning that such practices are detrimental to New Jersey residents who ultimately bear the consequences.
