On Thursday, the Board of Commissioners held the 2nd annual Night to Shimmer Prom, focusing on the special needs community. The event was designed to offer a night of enjoyment and an opportunity for everyone to shine.

“Prom is a special experience that all kids should have the opportunity to attend,” said Commissioner Deputy Director Ed McDonnell, who serves as a liaison to the office of disABILITIES and Special Needs. “A Night to Shimmer is a celebration of the disABILITIES community, complete with a red-carpet experience, music and dancing, a photo booth, food and refreshments and much more. We are looking forward to a wonderful and memorable evening.”

The Camden County Division of Programming for Individuals with disABILITIES and Special Needs provides a variety of activities and programs throughout the year. For upcoming events related to disABILITIES and Special Needs, refer to their event calendar.
