Berlin Cross Keys Road will be closed in both directions between Turnersville Road and Watsontown-New Freedom Road for upgrades to the Conrail railroad crossing. The project will require motorists to use alternate routes during the construction periods. Local access will remain available, and businesses in the area will stay open with entry from either side of the closure. However, vehicles will not be able to cross the railroad tracks while the work is underway.

The schedule for closures is as follows: On Monday, August 18, 2025, Berlin Cross Keys Road will close overnight starting at 8:00 PM and reopen by 5:00 AM Tuesday morning. There will also be a full 24-hour closure beginning at 8:00 PM on Friday, August 22 through to 5:00 AM on Monday, August 25.

“Local access will be maintained, and businesses will be open during this time with access from either side of the closure. No vehicles will be permitted to cross the railroad tracks during the construction of these upgrades.”

Further updates about the roadwork are expected to be posted online as work progresses.
