The City of Asbury Park announced on May 25 a series of closures, events, and meeting updates for the week of May 25 to 31. The weekly briefing provides residents with information about city operations and upcoming activities.

The briefing highlights several schedule changes due to Memorial Day. City Hall and the Asbury Park Public Library will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of the holiday. Alternate side parking regulations will also be suspended city-wide that day.

A Memorial Day remembrance service hosted by the Asbury Park Fire Department is scheduled for Monday, May 25, at Firemen’s Park beginning at 9:00 AM. Later in the week, a free community farm stand will take place on Saturday, May 30, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM while supplies last; a rain date is set for Sunday if needed.

Several city meetings are affected by scheduling changes. The Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting planned for Tuesday, May 26, has been canceled. The City Council will meet as scheduled on Wednesday, May 27, at City Council Chambers at 6:00 PM. The Library Board meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 28, at the Asbury Park Public Library starting at 5:30 PM. Additionally, the Deal Lake Commission is set to meet Thursday evening at Interlaken Town Hall.
