Senator Carmen Amato, Jr., Assemblyman Brian Rumpf, and Assemblyman Gregory Myhre have announced the relocation of their joint legislative district office to Manahawkin. The new office, located at 400 Main Street, Suites 1 & 2 – Route 9, will officially open on March 28, 2025.

The move will result in the closure of their current office in Forked River, which has been operational since January 2024. During the transition period from March 25 through March 28, communication with constituents will be limited to email until phone lines at the new location are activated on March 28. The phone number for the Manahawkin office will remain unchanged at (609) 693-6700.

Additionally, there are plans to open a second joint legislative district office in Bayville in the near future. This upcoming Bayville office will have a separate phone number for constituent contact.

Amato, Rumpf, and Myhre shared a statement regarding the changes: “The opening of our new joint legislative district office is certainly exciting and is consistent with our pledge to enhance constituent services for those we have the privilege of representing.”

They further noted an increase in inquiries related to various programs such as ANCHOR and Senior Freeze applications, E-ZPass issues, and utility billing complaints. By establishing offices in both southern and northern parts of the Legislative District, they aim to make their services more accessible.

The delay in opening these new offices was attributed to numerous newly elected legislators requiring established offices for the State Legislature’s 2024-2025 session. Despite this challenge, they assured that responsiveness to constituent needs has not faltered.
