A New Jersey resident named Michael Archon recently made waves during a testimony to the Assembly Appropriations Committee, where he criticized the rising gas prices in the state and highlighted the exorbitant cost of maintaining roads. In a video that has since gone viral, Archon stated, "Just a few years ago, the gas in this state was $1.98. I have a picture of it. Then, all of a sudden, it skyrocketed and it has never come down." He also pointed out that New Jersey is considered the unhappiest state in the nation.

Assemblywoman Pamela Lampitt challenged Archon's statements, but he stood his ground by providing evidence to support his claims. The confrontation between Archon and Lampitt was captured on camera by the Assembly Republicans, leading to a heated exchange that resonated with viewers.

The video, which has received over 316,000 views, has become the most popular upload in the Assembly Republican Office’s YouTube channel's nearly 16-year history. The channel's subscriber count has also seen a significant increase, growing from 3,100 to 3,612.

The official YouTube channel of the Assembly Republicans is @NJAssemblyGOP, where viewers can find more content related to the ongoing discussions and debates in New Jersey politics.
