(Lindenwold, NJ) – As the Department of Public Works in Camden County gears up for its annual pothole patrol, Commissioner Al Dyer, the liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, highlighted the importance of the ongoing efforts. Dyer emphasized the deployment of multiple crews to repair the damage caused by winter conditions on the roads.

"We have dispatched several crews throughout the highways and byways of Camden County to get hot asphalt on the ground and keep vehicles moving," stated Dyer. He also mentioned the county's capital maintenance program aimed at repairing and repaving dozens of locations to maintain the infrastructure and ensure safe travel across the county's roads.

The county has outlined an extensive schedule of road projects for the year, covering various areas such as Audubon, Gibbsboro, Waterford Township, Gloucester Township, Winslow Township, Berlin Township, Voorhees, Collingswood, Merchantville, Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, Haddon Township, and Camden City, among others.

In a call to action, Dyer urged residents to report any road hazards they encounter to the Public Works Hotline, emphasizing the importance of community engagement in improving road conditions. He also reminded residents to exercise caution and patience when encountering road crews working on pothole repairs.

"Residents are our best eyes on our roadways and we, as a collective commission, want to address potholes and roadway concerns countywide," Dyer reiterated.

Residents can reach out to the Public Works Hotline at (856) 566-2980, which is operational 24/7, or contact the DPW through the county website, Twitter, or Facebook.

With the community's involvement and timely reporting of road issues, Camden County aims to enhance the safety and quality of its roadways for all residents and commuters.
